Chantelle Phillips Counselling
Courage to explore the possibilities
About Me
Registered Clinical Counsellor
From a young age I recognized a desire in myself to help others. This instinct led me down many different paths until I discovered counselling. I have had, and have, my own personal and family struggles with mental health and addiction, as well as less than positive involvement with counselling as a teenager. My own experiences help to motivate me to be that positive counselling experience for others.
My Approach
Support That Makes a Difference
I am passionate and have a natural knack for using humour and finding a way to connect with client experiences. My work with individuals is influenced by many theoretical orientations, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered, and Internal Family Systems.
I enjoy working with a wide array of presenting concerns, however a majority of my experience thus far has been in emotional regulation, suicidal ideation, and mood disorders. I believe that as a counsellor it is my responsibility to meet clients where they are at and adjust my way of working to reflect this. I strive to create a nonjudgemental space and treat every client with unconditional positive regard.
